Remembering the Duke of Edinburgh

Following the sad announcement of the death of the Duke of Edinburgh, many will wish to remember him in prayer and to pray too for The Queen, the Royal Family and all who mourn.  With all the Churches in the land, we in Greenstead and St Anne’s share in giving thanks for the late Duke’s life and for his service to the nation and the Commonwealth.
The Church of England has published an online book of condolence which can be signed here.

Welcome to our page for details of Worship At Home.  We are about to consider how we can reopen our church buildings but for now, we continue to offer opportunities for you to join in with our online services. At the moment we have a weekly service of Holy Communion every Sunday which lasts about 35/40 minutes and a 20 minute service of Evening Prayer at 5pm every Wednesday. A lovely time of space and reflection for the middle of the week towards the end of the day.

We also have a short time of prayer on Thursday morning, following the Church of England Daily Prayer resource and a time of prayer on Friday evening at 6pm.  There is also a service of contemporary worship every other week which Sam our trainee Vicar and his team has put together for us. This is less formal than our Communion service and is a good way of hearing about Jesus in a light and refreshing way.

Although we no longer provide our usual Junior Church, we have begun holding our monthly Messy Church on Zoom so do think about that for you and your family. Craft packs are delivered to your door so you can all take part in our Messy fun! Contact us if you want to be part of this.

We hope that you enjoy worshipping with us, whether you are already familiar with the services or you are here for the first time. You are most welcome!

Please be assured of our continuing prayers at this difficult time and may God bless you and your loved ones as we navigate these difficult times. If you do need to speak to someone from our churches, please follow the contact us tab and we will be happy to chat with you.
