Messy Church at St Matthew’s Church

Messy Church is starting at St Matthew’s Church Centre, Harwich Road on Sunday 30th of October from 4:00pm to 5:30pm.

Upcoming Dates Messy Church:

  • 29th January 4.00-5.30pm

Messy Church is church with a difference … in fact, lots of differences.  It’s for all ages, but especially for families with young children.  We have arts and crafts to start with, a chance for everyone to have fun and be creative. Then we have a short celebration service with singing and a story.  And last, but definitely not least, we serve up food to enjoy together.

Messy Church:

  • is a way of being church for families involving fun
  • is a church, not a craft club, that helps people encounter Jesus
  • is found across the world
  • values are about being Christ-centred, for all ages, based on creativity, hospitality and celebration
